Acentech contributed acoustics and noise/vibration control expertise to Arranta Bio, a renovation and fit-out of warehouse space into a new office, lab and manufacturing facility. The design architect, TRIA, partnered with DC Beane and Associates, a design-build firm, to bring this building new life.
Arranta Bio is a contract development and manufacturing organization that partners with companies seeking to develop and manufacture complex biological drugs and innovative therapies.e consistent with the building’s design goals.
Their new 80,000 sf, state-of-the-art facility in Watertown features 15,000 sf of manufacturing space, 10,000 sf of dedicated laboratory space, 5,000 sf assigned for quality control purposes, and a warehouse. The remainder of the building is a blend of office space, conference rooms, lounges, huddle rooms, and a kitchenette.
Our team provided recommendations for sound isolation for sensitive areas, and room acoustics to control reverberation and promote speech intelligibility, ensuring acoustically comfortable conditions throughout the building. We addressed mechanical system noise and vibration control inside the building, and conducted an outdoor noise evaluation to ensure the new HVAC equipment complied with the local noise ordinances.
