James Viglas is a Consultant in our Noise and Vibration group and consults on noise and vibration control for buildings and environmental noise for a variety of project types. His background in music and years of academic research in structural and geotechnical engineering materials’ behavior and integrity fuels his excitement for his engineering consulting role at Acentech.
My grandfather was an engineer from the Boston area, and he used to say “Your brain is your toolbox that you bring everywhere!” The person I most look up to is my father, an audio technician, who exposed me to the art of problem-solving. Outside of the office, I enjoy running, hiking, camping, discovering new places, and reminiscing about my days as a competitive gymnast.
