Ethan Switzer

Consultant

"My training as a percussionist gives me a first-hand understanding of the positive (and negative) impacts that sound can have. And my summer internship at Acentech furthered my interest in acoustics. Outside of work, I’m a member of a marching jazz band that performs in parades all over New England.”

Ethan Switzer is a consultant in Acentech’s Noise and Vibration group. He is responsible for field measurements and analyses of architectural acoustics, sound and vibration issues—and their proposed solutions—with a focus on industrial, commercial, educational and renewable energy facilities. Ethan’s software and modeling toolbox includes Cadna/A, MATLAB, SolidWorks, AutoCAD and more. He brings prior consulting experience, and served as summer intern at Acentech.

Sieze the Moment

Ethan’s favorite quote is from the musician Nick Cave: “All of our days are numbered. We cannot afford to be idle. To act on a bad idea is better than to not act at all, because the worth of an idea never becomes apparent until you do it.”
