Acentech announces staff promotions
To kick off an exciting 2026, Acentech is pleased to announce several promotions. Please join us in congratulating and supporting them in their new roles!
"To some people, the word ‘acoustician’ is synonymous with ‘magician.’ I like the fact that every day I get to quantify the characteristics of sound, something that we can’t see and usually only talk about in very abstract terms."
Colin Worrich is an Associate Principal at Acentech with ten years of experience in building acoustics, mechanical systems noise and vibration control, and environmental acoustics. He manages projects of varying scale and complexity, leading field testing and documentation and contributing across all phases of project delivery—from planning and facility assessments to design recommendations and construction documentation. His work spans room shaping, sound isolation, and mechanical systems noise and vibration control for a broad range of project types, including performing arts venues, educational and institutional buildings, and commercial and residential developments.
Where can you find Colin when he’s not conducting field tests or providing acoustical recommendations? “When I’m not at work I’m even more of a nerd — I compose music, play trombone, and write movie reviews. I also enjoy taking hiking trips with friends, watching sports, and playing golf with my Dad.”
Colin’s musical compositions have been performed by The Allentown Symphony. In addition, he is a playing member of The Allentown Band, the oldest civilian concert band in the United States.
