Andy Carballeira Headshot
"Music and engineering have always been two sides of the same coin for me."

Andy Carballeira’s two decades of consulting experience encompasses a broad swath of acoustics including noise and vibration control, room acoustics, sound isolation, and technical systems. His music and audio engineering background complements his expertise in critical listening, spatial audio, and experimental design.

A skilled listener and communicator, Andy serves as a Principal in Acoustics and as Acentech’s Innovation Lead, a cross-disciplinary role responsible for cultivating strategic research and development initiatives across the firm. He shares his unique expertise as a mentor, a speaker at national conferences, and as a contributor to The Lab @ Acentech.

Mr. Handy

When not working, Andy might be found hugging his family, pulling up ugly carrots, crashing a CNC plasma cutter, or runout over sketchy trad gear.

Favorite quote: “The most that can be expected from any model is that it can supply a useful approximation to reality: all models are wrong, but some models are useful.”
– George E.P. Box
