FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
We’re excited to announce the formation of Acentech’s Innovation & Resources Group (IRG) and the appointment of Andy Carballeira, INCE Bd. Cert., as Director of Innovation.
Andy is Board Certified by the Institute of Noise Control Engineering (INCE-USA), and a practicing Principal in Acentech’s Building Acoustics Group with over 20 years of consulting experience. In his role as Director of Innovation, Andy stewards firmwide R&D initiatives that foster cross-disciplinary collaboration and the development and translation of new ideas, tools, and services across acoustics, technology, and building performance. He shares his expertise as a mentor, a speaker at national conferences, and as a contributor to The Lab @ Acentech, the firm’s public innovation portal.
As the fields of acoustics, vibration, and technology continue to evolve, we believe that meaningful innovation starts with investing in our people and the way we work. The IRG is designed to strengthen the tools, methods, and shared knowledge that support our consultants—enhancing rigor, efficiency, and creativity across the firm. Ongoing IRG efforts include improvements to our sound power measurement platform, expansions of our real-time sound and vibration monitoring technologies, oversight of Acentech’s AI strategy and adoption, innovations in internal data processing and reporting, and facilitation of research into an array of topics, including structural health monitoring, acoustics and vibration of mass timber buildings, and much more.
By focusing on our workplace—how we collaborate, experiment, and grow—we’re building a stronger foundation for innovative solutions that benefit our clients and communities. We’re excited about what’s ahead!
