What I’m Listening to Now
“I love solving acoustical problems and meeting people, and I enjoy explaining acoustics concepts to my clients and working together to brainstorm the best solution for the project. I’ve always been fascinated by music, art, and physics, so acoustics consulting was a clear choice for me.”
Rose Mary Su is Acentech’s Laboratory vertical market leader and a principal consultant in Noise & Vibration working on various projects involving institutional, commercial and residential facilities. Her areas of concentration include architectural acoustics, mechanical systems noise and vibration control, and environmental acoustics. Rose Mary is the 2009 recipient of an exchange program between Acentech and a Dutch consulting firm DHV, where she experienced working on international projects with firms such as The Office for Metropolitan Architecture. During her visit to The Netherlands, she also participated in a Master Class by acoustician Anders Gade on performance hall room acoustics.
Respect for nature
“Wilderness is not a luxury but a necessity of the human spirit, and as vital to our lives as water and good bread. A civilization which destroys what little remains of the wild, the spare, the original, is cutting itself off from its origins and betraying the principle of civilization itself.” ~ Edward Abbey
I have been a rock climber as long as I have been an acoustician. My hobby complements my work well. When I’m not at work, I am spending time with my family and friends outdoors.
