"I enjoy seeing the way noise and vibration impact everyday life in unexpected places. Consulting is great to see such a wide variety of interesting projects, where I can learn something new every day."

Alex Odom first decided to pursue a career in acoustics after a science fair project studying sound distribution in rooms. As a Senior Consultant in the Noise and Vibration Group at Acentech, he has a wide range of experience in acoustics and vibration, ranging from cleanroom certification to community noise control. His work includes environmental noise modeling, measurement and prediction of transportation-related building vibration, mechanical systems noise control, and psychoacoustic analyses. He regularly applies these skills to projects in the renewable energy, residential, higher education, and commercial industries.
