Internal Research & Development
Acentech is excited to announce the launch of our Internal Research & Development Grant Program. Its goal is to encourage our consulting staff to explore topics…
"I love being a consultant because it allows me to witness the real-world impact of our engineering work across various locations, seeing how our designs and solutions come to life and make a difference in the world around us."
Dr. Esmaeil Memarzadeh is a Senior Noise and Vibration Consultant at Acentech with expertise in structural dynamics, structural health monitoring, and vibration control. He specializes in the evaluation of vibration-sensitive facilities, including university and commercial laboratories, hospitals, imaging suites, and advanced research environments. His consulting work includes ambient and source-specific vibration surveys, dynamic testing of building structures, interpretation of frequency-domain and time-history data, and comparison of measured vibration levels with equipment and facility criteria. He develops finite element models to evaluate the dynamic response of proposed or existing structures; assesses footfall- and equipment-induced vibration; supports the planning of spaces intended to house vibration-sensitive equipment; and evaluates potential vibration isolation or mitigation measures. Esmaeil also works on projects involving structure-borne noise and vibration generated by rail transit, HVAC and mechanical equipment, elevators, and MRI systems. In addition to his consulting work, he contributes to internal research focused on vibration-based structural health monitoring and advanced structural dynamic analysis.
I enjoy traveling, discovering new places, and learning about different cultures. Each experience has helped me become more open-minded and appreciate different ways of life. I also enjoy hiking and spending time outdoors. Exploring trails and mountain landscapes helps me recharge, clear my mind, and maintain a healthy balance in life.
