I enjoy being able to make a tangible difference to the auditory experience of an individual or group, whether managing an unfavorable noise climate or optimizing a listening environment.
David Gerard has over a decade of experience in acoustics, noise and vibration consulting, having worked on a wide range of projects across various sectors including environmental noise, infrastructure, construction, renewable energy and corporate fit-outs. He conducts environmental impact assessments, models acoustic data using specialized software, prepares technical reports, and manages projects from the design phase through to completion. Prior to his entry into consulting, David worked in audio post-production for film/television in London, and for the UK’s National Health Service providing technical support to Cochlear Implant users and their families.
Scaling Heights and Practicing Scales
“Outside of work, I enjoy climbing at the local center, which for me is the perfect combination of community, problem solving, physical exertion, and mental reset! I also find great escapism in playing the piano and listening to piano music, and love going to concerts and spending quality time with my family and friends.”
