I had been exposed to acoustics before, but after being an intern at Acentech, I was determined to come back! Being able to immerse myself in diverse project types is a great way to stay engaged, keep learning, and start developing my career.
Cassandra Meyer supports acoustical consulting projects focused on building acoustics and mechanical systems noise and vibration control. She contributes to a variety of projects including commercial, residential, institutional, and performing arts facilities through field measurements, data analysis, technical documentation, CAD-based modeling platforms, and environmental analysis software.
Cassandra’s education in mechanical engineering includes experience with HVAC systems, thermal comfort, and environmental modeling, while her music education background supports investigations into room acoustics.
Sources of Inspiration
I am inspired by my friends and family. I’m lucky to be surrounded by people who have worked hard to pursue their dreams. I’m part Greek and it’s a huge part of my life! My grandparents immigrated from Greece, and we’ve been back to visit their hometowns and family. And when I’m not working, I enjoy practicing the piano and flute. My favorite quote is from Henry David Thoreau: “Not until we are lost do we begin to understand ourselves.”
