Brandon Cudequest

Associate Principal

"Design exploration is a fun and rewarding process and it’s my job to help the team arrive at an optimal outcome together. That means preempting key decisions and bringing the right information at the right time. We are constantly learning and every project is an opportunity to break down the perception that acoustics is a dark art."

Brandon Cudequest is an Associate Principal at Acentech with a comprehensive foundation in building acoustics. With a dual background in Recording Arts and Architectural Science, Brandon is plugged in to helping clients visualize and understand complex acoustical environments. Brandon’s expertise encompasses the full project life cycle from early programming and feasibility studies to construction administration and building commissioning.

As a prominent figure in the professional community, Brandon holds key leadership roles
within the Acoustical Society of America and ASHRAE, having been honored to serve as Chair for the Technical Committee on Sound and Vibration. His contributions to the field include presenting inclusive design solutions and chairing the ANSI working group for room noise criteria. By bridging the gap between academic research and practical application, Brandon delivers effective solutions for discerning clients across all sectors.

Culture Seeker, Bookshelf Curator

When not at work, I’m either at the movie theaters logging my hot takes on Letterboxd, rummaging through used bookstores to add to my growing collection of 650+ books on architecture, exploring museums in Europe, or finding the best bar trivia in Culver City.
