Eliot Hartzler

Consultant | Building Acoustics

“I enjoy collaborating with design teams on enhancing the occupant experience of a building, and helping others understand how sound interacts with the world around us.”

Eliot Hartzler is a member of Acentech’s Building Acoustics group. He contributes to a range of projects, including commercial, residential, government/institutional, and educational facilities. His responsibilities include recommendations for building layouts and material finishes, analyzing mechanical systems to ensure proper noise levels, sound data collection and analysis, and collaborating on auralizations and computer models. Prior to transitioning into building acoustics, Eliot worked as an audiovisual systems design consultant and live sound engineer.

The Bright Side

I grew up in a small Ohio town in a family full of alumni from The Ohio State University – Go Bucks! Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, attending concerts, reading, playing board/card games, buying too many snacks at Trader Joe’s, or searching for good coffee. My favorite quote? “Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.” – Albus Dumbledore, Harry Potter
