2025 Summer Interns: it’s a wrap!

We were delighted to welcome another outstanding group of interns to our Cambridge and Philadelphia offices this summer. While we’re sad to see them go, we’re excited to follow their careers as they continue to make an impact in acoustics, noise and vibration control, and audio technology.
Pictured, from left to right: Devavrath Raghunath, Alice Cannon, Brandon Vasquez, Deeptha Ganesh, and Adam Irons
Devavrath Raghunath is pursuing an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan. His research interests include vibration isolation in mechanical systems, vibration energy harvesting, human perception of noise, and acoustics.
“I had a great time as a Noise and Vibration Intern at Acentech. I had the opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting projects, giving me an overview of the diverse and remarkable work Acentech does, and helped me strengthen my background in vibration, noise, and acoustics through real-world applications. One of the best parts of my experience was being able to learn from and interact with my mentors and colleagues, which made the internship a rewarding and enjoyable experience.”
Alice Cannon is a rising senior at Brown University, pursuing a Sc.B. in Mechanical Engineering. She is passionate about wind turbine performance, vibration control in mechanical systems, and music production, mixing, and mastering.
Brandon Vasquez is pursuing a master’s in Acoustics at Johns Hopkins University’s Peabody Institute. His work explores the intersection of sound, user experience, and museum and exhibition design.
Deeptha Ganesh is a rising senior at Berklee College of Music, pursuing dual degrees in Music Production & Engineering and Electronic Production & Design. Her interests bridge audio engineering and architectural acoustics.
Adam Irons recently graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in psychology. He is particularly interested in psychoacoustics, noise and vibration analysis, and innovative applications of acoustic science.
“My time at Acentech as a noise and vibration intern has been exceptional. I had the opportunity to work on a broad range of interesting projects, in internal research and in practical settings, both of which expanded my knowledge and love of this field. It was amazing to get to interact with so many intelligent and helpful people here, even those outside of my group. I have learned so much, and now have a good foundation in acoustics, noise, and vibration that I can carry on in the future!“
Cassandra Meyer (pictured below) is a rising senior at the University of Maryland, where she is studying Mechanical Engineering and Musical Performance. She combines her passions for audio engineering and piano performance, and this summer she was mentored by Colin Worrich in our Philadelphia office.

Milena Jonas Bem (pictured below) first joined Acentech as an intern last year and returned as a summer employee. She is pursuing a Ph.D. in Architectural Acoustics at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where her research bridges theory and practice in acoustic consulting.

“After an incredible internship at Acentech last year, I was excited to be back to dive into new projects, continue learning from our amazing mentors, and contribute to creating spaces that sound as good as they look. Even better, these real world consulting experiences will feed directly into my PhD research, bridging theory and practice in built environments, a passion that drives everything I do.”
We’re proud of everything the interns accomplished during their time with us, and excited to see the innovative ways they’ll shape the future of sound. Also, a big thank-you to our mentors, whose support and enthusiasm made the program such a success!
