The Mann Center for the Performing Arts, situated in historic Fairmount Park in Philadelphia, PA, is one of the nation’s leading outdoor summer performing arts venues, with a total seating capacity of approximately 14,000. Since 1976, the Mann Center has been the summer home of the Philadelphia Orchestra.

Acentech provided acoustics recommendations for improved sound quality in the shed, and strategies for issues related to noise and vibration control: vibration isolation for the AV equipment room as well as the remote-controlled high-definition cameras to prevent them from moving. Acentech also consulted on the outdoor audiovisual system, including four outdoor-rated line-arrays which provide sound reinforcement to the lawn, two large LED displays for the outside façade to provide video to the lawn area, and two video displays in the Crescendo Tent restaurant.

The firm also provided recommendations regarding infrastructure for future digital signage for the plaza at the main entrance, ticket booths, restaurants, and other key locations throughout the venue. Acentech is proud to support the Mann Center’s mission to create a broad spectrum of high quality entertainment experiences.
