The Mann Center for the Performing Arts, situated in historic Fairmount Park in Philadelphia, PA, is one of the nation’s leading outdoor summer performing arts venues, with a total seating capacity of approximately 14,000. Since 1976, the Mann Center has been the summer home of the Philadelphia Orchestra.
Acentech consulted on two issues related to noise and vibration, one being the best means to isolate noise coming from the AV equipment room, located in the balcony within the balcony seating area; the second being the best means to isolate the remote-controlled high-definition cameras, locating the cameras in a location that would guarantee they do not pick up any vibration from the venue. Acentech also consulted on the outdoor audiovisual system, including four outdoor-rated line-arrays which provide sound reinforcement to the lawn, two large LED displays for the outside façade to provide video to the lawn area, and two video displays in the Crescendo Tent restaurant.
Further, Acentech is currently providing recommendations regarding infrastructure for future digital signage for the plaza at the main entrance, ticket booths, restaurants, and other key locations throughout the venue.
Acentech is proud to support the Mann Center’s mission to create a broad spectrum of high quality entertainment experiences.
