Acentech is proud to announce it has recently hired three acoustics consultants, two marketing specialists and an accountant for its Cambridge and Philadelphia offices. In addition to growing its East Coast roster, Acentech now has a New York City presence, and has increased its Los Angeles staff to three full-time consultants. With more than 65 employees, Acentech is one of the oldest and largest organizations of its type: an unequaled resource to engineers, architects, and designers worldwide.
Amanda Alcamo, Marketing & Communications Specialist
Amanda Alcamo recently joined Acentech’s marketing department at our Cambridge, MA headquarters. She works with the firm’s marketing team and consultants on proposals, qualifications and presentations, assists with graphic and external communication, and tracks conferences and new business opportunities. Amanda hails from Long Island and holds a BA in Communications and Political Science from Boston College.
Jay Bliefnick, Consultant
Jay Bliefnick is about to receive his PhD degree in Architectural Engineering with a focus on healthcare acoustics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he also completed his MS in Architectural Engineering with a concentration in Acoustics. He received a BS in Acoustics from Columbia College Chicago where graduated Summa Cum Laude. Jay previously worked as an intern for Acentech for two summers during his graduate studies, and recently joined the Cambridge office as a full time consultant in the ArchMech group. Jay will consult on a variety of acoustic and noise control projects, employing his background experience in acoustical modeling and audio engineering.
Tiffany Hanson, Consultant
Tiffany Hanson recently joined Acentech’s architectural acoustics group. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as an acoustician and proposal manager, developing her industry knowledge from a marketing and business perspective. Acentech’s reputation for innovation and excellence inspired her to return to consulting work. Tiffany graduated with a degree in Acoustical Engineering and Music from the University of Hartford, where she also received the Leo Beranek Medal for Excellence in the Study of Noise Control.
Mery Meas, Project Accountant
Mery recently joined the firm as a project accountant. She holds a BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Salem State University. She will assist Acentech’s accounting department with project setup, billings and collections.
Tyler Tracy, Consultant
Tyler Tracy recently received his BA in Physics (with a focus on Music and Acoustics) from Cornell University. He worked as a summer intern for Acentech, before transitioning this year into a full-time position with the firm. Tyler will work with the ArchMech group on a range of projects, including higher education, healthcare, performing arts and corporate commercial. He is also assisting the firm with programming and updates to Acentech’s 3Dlistening® auralization technology.
Sadie Werner, Business Development & Marketing Specialist
Sadie recently joined Acentech as a Business Development & Marketing Specialist, a new role created specifically for the firm’s Trevose, PA office. Previously in a multi-layered marketing role, Sadie has acquired experience in strategic planning, proposal responses, client relations, brand management and industry research and analysis. Sadie will collaborate with strategic partners and assist Acentech in expanding opportunities and fostering valuable client relationships in the Mid-Atlantic region.
