 | Robert Berens, Architectural Acoustics With a background in music and physics, Bob has long been interested in the acoustics of noise-sensitive and critical listening spaces. He has extensive experience consulting on projects that span the spectrum of architectural and environmental acoustics and noise and vibration control. For the past ten years, Bob has been the principal acoustical consultant for continuing upgrades and renovation work at Boston Symphony Hall and at Tanglewood Music Center, summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. He has also led acoustical design efforts for Harvard's New College Theater (formerly the Hasty Pudding), Emerson College's Paramount Theater renovation and the new Paramount Development Center project; he was also instrumental in developing new community noise standards for the Chastain Park Amphitheater in Atlanta. Bob studied French horn through college, and occasionally still plays without totally embarrassing himself, but has been studying piano more seriously for the past dozen years. He has a BA in music and physics from Brown University.
