 | | | | | | | Acentech has consulted on a range of projects at the College that provide excellent acoustical quality and state-of-the-art audiovisual systems and technologies for their facilities. For the Genko Uchida Building, we designed the sound system and consulted on the design of extensive sound isolating constructions, noise control treatments, and acoustics for a 175-seat performance hall and various teaching and rehearsal facilities. For Café 939, we designed the acoustics and audiovisual systems (including digital mixing, video projection, and audio and video recording and live production) for a music venue and coffee house, while acoustically isolating the venue from a sports center below, offices above, and street noise outside. For Berklee's percussion studios, Studio A designed teaching and rehearsal spaces that provide extraordinary isolation of percussion music between the studios and acoustical quality that draws raves from the percussion faculty. |
"The more time I spend here, the more I love it. The marimba sounds full and clear through the entire range of the instrument, as do the vibes, and no "bouncing" of the percussion sounds, even the cowbells. Also, the bass sounds full and clear at any volume. It just sounds very natural. As to the isolation, I seldom hear the drummers on either side of the rooms… it's amazing! This is "State of the Art!" Congratulations and thank you!" – Victor Mendoza, Berklee School of Music Professor of Percussion | | | |
