 | | | | | | | Bass Hall is the location of the first "Concert Hall Shaper" in the Western Hemisphere. Christopher Jaffe conceived and developed the first Shaper for a concert hall at the Tokyo International Forum. The "Concert Hall Shaper," an innovation enabling a hall to quickly vary its acoustical properties, is key to the financial success of this venue. Bass Hall is tuned by varying the position of the Shaper as well as a number of curtains located within the hall. The flexibility of this design allows this 2,100-seat concert hall to accommodate the program du jour for the Dallas/Fort Worth Ballet, Fort Worth Opera, Broadway Theatre and more.
