Architectural AcousticsArchitectural AcousticsRegarding Spivey Hall at Clayton State University — Mathew Epstein, Artist Manager
Spaces inhabited by humans comprise an acoustical environment. Sounds within those spaces can be as pleasant as orchestral music in a performance hall, or as distracting as a noisy office where it is difficult to concentrate. We design spaces for good hearing conditions, noise control, and privacy. Our knowledgeable staff has a thorough understanding of the acoustic properties of materials and construction techniques. Our decades of experience, technical expertise, and familiarity with architectural details allow us to suit the acoustical needs of practically any interior environment. Mechanical System Noise and Vibration Control
Acentech’s experience in noise and vibration control addresses heating, ventilating, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical systems, as well as power generators and manufacturing equipment. During early design stages, we identify potential problems when noise control measures can be most easily incorporated. Furthermore, we solve problems for mechanical systems in existing buildings. Our consultants design control measures, provide guidelines, prepare specifications and test the performance of materials and devices recommended to control noise and vibration. We also help control noise transmission outdoors to adjacent properties to avoid community noise complaints.
