The Park Lane Seaport is a thirteen-story luxury condominium and apartment tower in the Seaport area of South Boston. The site’s proximity to Downtown Boston and to Boston Harbor affords spectacular views and makes the residences highly desirable. The site, close to Boston’s Logan Airport, lies beneath a secondary flight path that is typically used for several weeks of the year.

Acentech assessed the noise impact of aircraft over flights to the residences and recommended construction upgrades to achieve the project’s interior sound level goals. Once the building was complete, Acentech returned to the site to document the sound levels in residential units and the noise reduction achieved by the structure; both met the project’s goals. The result is a successful luxury condominium and apartment tower in a desirable, yet acoustically challenging, waterfront location.
