Rose Mary Su, Principal
“I love solving acoustical problems and meeting people, and I enjoy explaining acoustics concepts to my clients and working together to brainstorm the best solution for the project. I’ve always been fascinated by music, art, and physics, so acoustics consulting was a clear choice for me.”

Rose Mary Su is a Principal acoustician working on various projects involving institutional, commercial, secondary education, and residential facilities. Her areas of concentration include architectural acoustics, mechanical systems noise and vibration control, and environmental acoustics. Her creative and integrated design approach has helped guide projects with from complex concepts into physical reality. She has worked with architects and owners on numerous award-winning projects, not only to achieve excellence in design but also in sustainability. She has given guest lectures and conference talks on various acoustics topics, most notable on the topic of mass timber. Within Acentech, she helps in advancing the research of acoustics and vibration of mass timber structures and other atypical architectural structures.

Rose Mary serves as Acentech’s Labs and Sensitive Facilities Market Leader, responsible for marketing strategy, client development and industry thought leadership.

Nature Lover

“Wilderness is not a luxury but a necessity of the human spirit, and as vital to our lives as water and good bread. A civilization which destroys what little remains of the wild, the spare, the original, is cutting itself off from its origins and betraying the principle of civilization itself.” ~ Edward Abbey

I have been a rock climber as long as I have been an acoustician. My hobby complements my work well. When I’m not at work, I am spending time with my family and friends outdoors.
